Its been a while since i was last here but here i am. I managed to slip into all my old habbits again even though i was confident in sobriety. I learnt alot here last time (feb) so im back for more. Just one long week ahead then all uphill from there.

Hi Final Call - welcome back
Just one long week ahead then all uphill from there.
does that mean you're having a 'last hurrah' this week?
I hope not - I really can't recommend that, FC.

FinalC- welcome back. There is no such thing as failure- unless it is giving up- which you have not done. Perhaps check out sioem of the other newcomer's threads? Like One year-under, 34 hour..Class of July '18. I find the more I post, the stronger is my resolve on a daily basis- with meetings and prof. support.

No last hurrah for me. Its just personal experience that the first week without drinking is very uncomfortable. I am prepared

Great to see you, Final. I did the same thing - slipped right back in to my old ways when I tried to moderate after 3 yrs. sober. I crashed & burned worse than ever - dui's, financial disaster, disgust from family & friends...I can never allow myself to go back to that horrible place.

Congrats on your decision to reclaim your life. This time you can stay free.

Yes, the first week is very difficult. But, keep in mind, you don't have to go through this again. Stay focused and make a plan that will help you to prevent relapse. We do understand how hard this is.
