Sharing a small milestone
I just closed day 7. For months I never thought I would be able to close day 1. I've had my ups and downs, but executing my plan has been near automatic. One of the best things that I've learned is that cravings dissipate (for me) in a few minutes, and although sometimes they come in waves, I don't remember having more than 3.
And now to give back a little. For all of you on day 1, I cannot tell you how fantastic 7 days of sobriety feels. It is heaven. The speed with which certain facets of my life have improved in just those 7 days is astounding. I wish you all the best in your recovery.

Congratulations! 7 days is HUGE! I'm going on 14 days myself and I can tell you I feel twice as good as I did at 7 days so you have that to look forward to. It's not always going to feel great, though, and I'm trying my best to peek around the corner so I can be prepared when life decides to smack me in the face. Sobriety is not conditional on whether we feel good or not.
