Today would’ve been my brothers 43rd birthday. He lost a very courageous battle with brain cancer almost 3 ½ years ago. I know that he would be proud of me and my journey through recovery up to now. It makes me realize that life is precious and we only have a short time here. I gotta say with the exception of a few luxury problems things are pretty good. Life has been a little stressful since I switched from part time to full time work along with a move from the mountains to the city but I am grateful that I have the life that I do. I have a roof over my head, a job and number of friends and family that I speak with regularly. I recently finished the steps but know that I continuously have to work through things with steps 10, 11 and 12. I attend meetings regularly, post on SR when I can and try and keep myself in the middle of the pack as much as possible. Some days are tough but I know “this too shall pass”.
