Oh man, I got really used to having money...
One thing that really sucks about leaving my AH, so far, is realizing how accustomed I was to always having money. We aren't rich by any stretch of the imagination, but as I sit here counting my twenties for Christmas shopping, it's painfully apparent how my circumstances have changed.
That said, having more money isn't worth living like that again. And the speed with which he cut me off (he didn't put it that way, but that's obviously what is happening) makes it glaringly apparent that he has little to no interest in MY survival needs, only his own.
So my Christmas wishes for myself this year are...
to get used to having serenity instead.
to get used to liking pulling into the driveway instead.
to get used to surrounding myself with people who treat me with dignity, compassion, and respect instead.
to get used to taking care of myself instead.
