Feel a bit lonely...
I felt this whilst I was drinking as well. But now I find myself very choosey about who I spend my time with. I find socialising quite an effort and tough now. I don't feel there's anyone I really connect with right now (apart from my partner).
It makes me feel a bit lonely because I have loads of friends... just none I really want to hang out with at the minute.
When I moved back home 5 years ago, I met all of my friends through the pub. And although I've often socialised with them outside the pub, it seems so different now :'(

Hi Stars, getting used to a new way of socialising, hell a new way of being is tough. Everything can feel a bit forced, awkward..daunting even.
You are evolving into your sobriety and everything will get easier and you will start to find your way of doing things and enjoying them greatly so don’t be too hard on yourself or what you are feeling at the minute,
One of the most difficult parts is identifying real friends apart from drinking buddies and allowing your social circles to change as you learn who is who.
I spent years with close friends many times per week, we were as tight as a photo finish, but time allowed me to realise that they were actually just party buddies and when you removed the alcohol there wasn’t much glue of friendship holding us together.
All the best
