On Day 7: Made it through the Weekend!

I have a few more hours of the weekend left, but I feel pretty good. My kids and wife have commented that I already look better and am in a better mood. I am really enjoying this. I am traveling today, but I ‘ll get to an AA meeting tomorrow when I get back. Thanks for everyone’s support!

Thanks all. Most Monday mornings are terror-filled and torturous. This Monday morning is much, much better. Starting Campral too. It is not for the cravings it is supposed to help repair neurotransmitter/receptor damage from LT alcohol use. Things are looking up!

Horn, congrats on getting through your first weekend sober! This really is a big deal.

I sobered up on a Monday. Went to my first meeting next day (Tuesday). I asked someone how in the world do I not drink this coming weekend? Can't remember who it was but the person said to me: Tonight when you lay your head on your pillow, thank the Higher Power for another day sober.

And when you wake up, ask HP to help you not drink that day. We stay sober one day at a time.

Before I knew it, it was the following week when I remembered that I was worried about how to stay sober over the previous weekend!
