day 24 ...PIPE BURST AT 10PM

WOW so, I have a major situation going on at the moment...last night around 10pm my hot water line burst ,
flooded my kitchen..living room and hallway.
.turned off the valve and still a major leak under the sink,
I haven't slept a wink...
I keep having to empty the sink bucket every half an hour.

The plumber is coming around 8am...because my husband didnt want to deal with the situation right away as he was exhuasted and has an axam he has to take in the morning ( He thought since the water was shut off nothing else would occur til the morning...
Well of course I didn't mention the leak as I am handling it and
I also don't want to worry him and risk him being up all night
. So...I called off work and now i'm just sitting here listening to stupid drips leaking into the damn bucket...I don't care about grammar or sentence structure right now i'm just far too delirious at the moment lol
I can't wait til the plumber gets here , solves the problem & leaves so I can get my as* in bed and sleep for a couple hours...

YIKES. What a night/morning...The full moon probably has a part in this mess.

NO THIS DOESN'T MAKE ME WANT TO DRINK.
RANT OVER.

Damn Ash... Bad way to start off Friday but I guess the good news for you is your Friday is actually tomorrow so it's all good! Lol..

Yeah don't drink. That'll only make the problem worse.. Getting close to a month sober I see.

Hope everything gets fixed pronto and there isn't too much damage.

I am staying away from any "drying out" jokes
All the best

Hi Ashley,

It sounds like you have a lot of cleanup to do, so I hope you are able to get some rest first. The best thing is that you are sober and able to deal with the mess.

Sorry to hear about the mess! Those unexpected home disasters are always so stressful!! Now can you imagine this situation and how it would have played out differently had you been drunk or hungover? What would that scenario have looked like? As crappy as it is at least you are sober to deal with it! High fives on our day 24!!!

So sorry to hear that, Asley. Water can wreak havoc.

Good job on not wanting to drink. I'd give your homeowner's insurance a call. Water damage can add up to thousands of dollars very quickly. Take the no stress express and let them deal with the aftermath...
