I've been really fed up and down lately but one thing I find inspires me to keep going is this forum

One thing I noticed lately, and maybe it's some kind of clarity coming back into my foggy soggy head is how beautifully worded some replies are - full of knowledge, wisdom and help yes but it's how the words are put down and come across with such compassion ..wish I could do that but afraid I'm just one who asks for help all the time !..usually rambling

Thank you SR :-)

So sorry you've been feeling down, Rainy.

I totally agree, this forum has made such a huge difference for me too. So much wisdom and kindness and motivation to keep on, keeping on.

I think all the different voices, styles and approaches here are part of what makes it such a helpful place. Everyone's point of view, even questions, problems and failures, can resonate and help others. It's the common experience, even in our differences.

We are all in it together.

Hope tomorrow is a better day!

Rainy I feel exactly the same.
What you perhaps don't realise though is when you (or others) reach out for help and help comes and if that help gets you through a tough day sober it is truly inspiring. It gives me hope that this thing is possible. It may also mean that others can come here first before picking up. That's the beauty of how it works.
Ramble away dear I for one don't mind at all!

I'm glad we can help Rainy - and I wouldn't be too sure that your threads don't help others either

I've never forgotten how kindly I was treated as a newcomer. SR is family to me.

I agree.

I don't post a lot but I read EVERY day so I am forever greatful to the people who spend their time here and share their experience. I have learned a lot from this place and it has helped me tremendously!

You are part to family and have just as much to offer, don't sell yourself short
