14 days sober!:-)
14days sober, I haven't gone this long in years! I've been checking this forum daily and it really helps.
Last weekend was a bit easier because I literally had no money, however this is payday weekend so the AV has been whispering at times but I really don't want to go back to how I was. Everyday the past two weeks I've been up and doing stuff before 7am! I really enjoy mornings now and get a lot of things done. I'm looking after myself too with making time to have a proper breakfast, preparing a lunch and planning meals throughout the week.
Wanted to say thanks to people on the forum as well for inspirational posts and being supportive.

Congratulations, Zombie! Anytime those bad thoughts start working you over, just think how good you feel right now. Think about how everyone you know, whether they tell you or not, says to themselves, "Wow, he is looking so much better, healthier, and happier than I've seen him before!" Think about how nice it is to wake up and NOT feel like dog poo and to be grateful for that nice cup of coffee instead of what was left in the bottle by your bed, that you want to drink just so you won't throw up.
I am so grateful just for feeling so much better in my sobriety. Keep it up, Z!
