TOPIC: Consistant, Responsible, Constant, Continueing. Are You This In Recovery?

Hi SR. Sharon here in recovery remaining
consistant, continuing, responsible and constant
each day I remain sober, not only for myself
but for you guys too.

In early recovery, fresh out of a 28 day in
stay , 6 week outpatient aftercare program
back in August 1990, I recall feeling vunerable,
scared, questionable, nieve, childlike, etc,
sitting amongst many just like me learning
how to remain sober one day at a time
incorporating this program of recovery
full of promises and gifts.

As I continued to suit up and show up
each day, sometimes twice a day, 3 times
a week, weekends, big book studies, step
studies, open book discussions, speaker
meetings, conventions, listening, learning,
absorbing, and applying all this knowledge
of my addiction and recovery to my everyday
life, I looked upon, invested in many of those
members who accumulated hours, days,
weeks, months and yrs of one days sober
collected together to achieve health, happiness
and many of those gifts and promises
offered to us just by staying sober using
this program of recovery as a guideline.

I needed them 26 yrs ago when I began my
recovery journey just like I still need them
today.

Are you one of those people?

I needed you before, during and after
addiction and recovery just as many
need me before during and after their
addiction.

Are you consistent, responsible, constant
and a continuing program member in your
life, community, program, family here in
SR?
