Ouch!!!!

It's almost day 30 for me and my liver is hurting more now than when I was drinking. What's up with that? Is the healing process painful? Going to the Dr. tomorrow but just wondering....

There are several other organs in that neighborhood...gallbladder and pancreas...so it's good that you're seeing the doctor tomorrow.

Sometimes it seems like things are more painful sober than when we were drinking, but alcohol does deaden some pain while it's busy making us sicker. Hence, "feeling no pain."

Best of luck tomorrow and hope you hear all good news.

I had an ultrasound and pancreas and gallbladder are fine. I do have severe fatty liver though. It was a dull ache when I was drinking. Now it's really painful.

Hopefully it's just a question of sober time, then...our bodies are actually pretty forgiving.

Good luck tomorrow.
