Had a great day, but bf (ex bf?) keeps texting

I've been doing good and feeling ok for the most part. Been having a great weekend with my family, and work was busy and chaotic all week, but I still love what I do.....teaching the littles. Easter weekend is going good, my kids are happy, I'm sober, nice weather, good friends and a loving family. But my ex bf keeps texting now after not taking for like a week and a half, and not seeing each other for almost a month. It's causing me a little bit of stress, and it's pst midnight now, so I'm posting here. Headache since yesterday, mostly in the temples, it comes and goes.

"That which retreats from us we pursue".

Concentrate on your sobriety and ignore his texts.

I can't turn my phone off because my teenager is not home yet, went to a concert. Also, I can never get to sleep until she is home safe anyway. I need some hot tea.
I will, however, block his number so I can't receive his calls or texts.

She just got home.....about 45 mins late, but it's okay, I'm not mad, she is a very responsible kid. I'm just glad she is home (even though she is sitting in her car in driveway on her phone with music playing at a low level), but not bothering anyone, she is home and now I can go to bed.

Delete his number and block it before so he cant call or text, you dont need any stress whilst giving up alcohol its hard enough isnt it
Hope you feel better today and Happy Easter to you and yours

"Ex" relationships are tough. If you have no "business" or children involved, it is often best to cut off contact completely as Femaleboss1980 mentioned in blocking the texts/phone number. Former relationships are somewhat like drinking for us. You can't just allow a little bit of contact, like you can't allow just a little bit of drinking. Best to you.

Thanks guys, great advice here. We do not share any children together. I have 2 kids, he doesn't have any. And I always felt he didn't really understand parenting and the sacrifices we make for our kids. But anyway, we are not communicating now and I feel I am more successful with my sobriety without the added stress that relationship was causing. I'm staying focused on my children, my health, and my work, and not dating right now. There will be time for that later.
