Day 7 and checking in....

Hi everybody,

Friday nights (and Sunday daytime) are huge triggers for me, so I'm coming here to post.

Today is Day 7 and I'm feeling good....tired but optimistic. After work I grabbed a fancy coffee and went and bought a nice blouse for work.

So, the money that would have gone to at least on bottle of red wine and then junk food to follow, was actually spent on a more worthwhile cause.

I came home, did laundry, watched some Netflix and now I'm posting. I think I'll go to bed soon and try to finally get a deeper and more restful sleep.

How is everyone else doing?

Congrats on day 7 and yes Friday nights can be big triggers for sure. I've spent tonight with the S.O. at home and playing video games. Much better than throwing back booze.

Norm,

7 days is great...you can string them together..7 at a time.

Sober Routine.

I don't drink anymore. 23 months in 2 days.

I hit the gym, shopped, ate a healthy home cooked dinner, watched some tv, finished laundry...some other stuff...now getting ready for bed.

Before I might have gotten drunk and passed out. I may have woken up and started drinking again.

Humans were not made to ingest booze. It is a learned behavior.

Unlearn it.

Thanks.

I have a little over a year sober, work is still stressful, corporate America sucks, but I am doing ok. I cook more now, lost some weight. Love the fact I get up and feel good everyday. Going to get on my bike this morning, she's electric and peddle around for fun. I would never have done that Saturday morning in the past. Here's wising everyone the best!
