5 weeks today

5 weeks sober

Eating a lot still, craving sweets

Going to gym on and off

Practicing one kind deed to another each day--this has been life changing--I could write an entire post about this. The world needs more kindness and kind deeds.

Managing cravings, working thru triggers, continuing to forgive myself and look forward

Really listening to others and showing empathy--crazy what a difference these two things makes

Reading books

Currently sick AGAIN and in bed with head cold

Check in at SR almost everyday and read posts--living one day at a time

Thanks everyone--couldn't do it without SR

I actually have been working on this too. An older lady that works in my office drives me nuts. She complains no stop about everything. The kind of person you say a simple How ya doing and she'd reply terrible. A complete positivity sucker.

Well I said to myself I will start to have a different attitude towards her and be extra kind to her. Well she did seem to respond to it and I felt better to. Maybe she just needs someone to care about her feelings.

I think you have a good plan to go on!

Suzie - 5 weeks is fabulous. You're doing this. Sorry you're sick, though.

Congrats on five weeks sober! I too practiced kindness (and gratitude) when I was newly sober. It helped a lot.

Congratulations on 5 weeks! And, I'm so glad that you are making great lifestyle changes. This is what will support you in recovery.
