Day 18 and feeling pretty good
Hi all!
I haven't posted since around day 3 (I think). I'm now on Day 18 and feeling pretty darn good. Cravings aren't too bad. When they are, they hit at night and I just go to bed. I'm not feeling foggy and I certainly don't miss the hangovers.
The best part is I'm much healthier. I'm eating better, my resting heart rate is down (thanks FitBit for monitoring that) and I've dropped weight. As much as I want wine, I remember how I'm feeling and that keeps me away from it. Some days are harder than others.
This road has not been easy. I attend two AA meetings per week and have a sponsor that is amazing! She has helped in ways I could never imagine.
I know it's just 18 days and I have a lot of road to travel. For all you newbies, keep it up! Keep trying. Each day gets easier and each day you will feel better.
I love this board. I've been on here every day reading all the new threads and that helps me stay motivated. Thank you everyone for helping me on this journey.
