Days without a cigarette

I'm usually in the alcoholism discussion, as I quit in August. When I quit that, I resumed smoking and it got excessive, so I decided to quit that, too.

This is day 3 without a cigarette!
Feeling good, occasional funky cough.

How many days is it for you? How do you feel?
Good luck.

Good Job!

At around 9 months sober I quit smoking, so that was approx 20 months back. Made a huge difference in so many ways......

Keep at it - you'll be glad you did. Well done!

2 months ago. WOW what a difference! I felt like crap all the time as a smoker. Ew no more having to smell burning filters when you put them out.

Trying to quit. Have gone days (and once 2 weeks) without smoking. I had lung cancer and had an upper right lobectomy (they removed the top lobe of my right lung) in October 2017). You would think that any rational person would quit then. I did for a while, but hubby smokes, so it was only a matter of time before I started again....not nearly what I used to smoke..but still smoking. We HAVE to quit together.....

No need to quit alone especially here at SR. Get a thread of yours going or keep checking in....Many many people who have quit have reached out to me and given their support. You may be interested in http://www.whyquit.com I use their online meter too.

Thank you for the link. I am on SR to get sober....I just came across this thread and that's how I found out that SR has a nicotine section as well!
