I went out to buy alcohol
.....and came home with a chocolate frappe instead.
Yay me for recognising my AV and seperating myself from it. I realised that I was simply craving a sweet drink and I am enjoying every sip. It's even more delicious knowing that it contains zero alcohol and therefore zero shame, guilt, anxiety or depression.

Good on you for making a good choice!
I do agree with Free Owl though, getting those preventative measures out in place before we start climbing that relapse ladder, where going out to get booze is getting close to the top. That is playing with fire.
Next step is working on telling on yourself before you go out to the store.
But no matter how we get there, staying sober is always a win.

Thanks all! Yep, it was delicious and it feels fantastic having another day ahead of me hangover free.
Freeowl and del- you're right about nipping it in the bud before leaving the house. But I'm taking that good choice and running with it!
