Anyone one know of any good books for adult children of alcoholics?
My kids are 28 and 25 and I was trying to get them a book or two .
They have been subjected to physical, mental and spiritual abuse at the hands of there alcoholic / pills
Father.
Can't get them interested in alanon to formal with traditions, etc.
They have gone a few times.
Any recommendations are appreciated!

The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron. There's a book and also a workbook to go with it, which I am thinking of getting. Just doing the weekly exercises in the book had a huge impact on my recovery- before I thought I needed to "recover" from anything.
Not strictly a recovery book, but there's no way I would have gone for something like that back when I thought the alcoholic/codependent upbringing didn't affect me. It was a gamechanger, gave me my first real epiphany about my situation.
