Irony.

Day 10, felt sleepy, so had a hot shower, clean bed linen and felt like heaven climbing into the bed for a good relaxing sleep.
Fast forward an hour - sound of cat building up to being sick - nothing gets you out of bed faster, as they ALWAYS bring up their stomache contents on carpet! Why is that??!
Now, it's 4am (have to be up at 6) and I'm wide awake and the cat is asleep.
Ironically, if I had been drinking, I'd have slept through it all!
Still..would have had to go through those evil withdrawal thingies again, so much prefer to be awake at stupid O' clock and grumpy, than hungover.
Sometimes, I just hate cats x

Between my cat and my 2 dogs I'm always cleaning up something. Better than stepping in it upon waking however!

Hi Zanna, .. . .. ... .. . wait... "Z".. really ? its me Snarly .. .snarlz

Z ,

I can not thank you enough for your support on oh so many levels my dear sober buddy

I love your sense of humor and witty responses... "stupid o'clock" and " evil withdrawal thingies"

Pray tell what is the problem with "Gatitos" (Spanish for For Kittens or To Talk Lovingly to A Cat)
cat whisperer in da house ..

Let me share my stupendous cat knowledge passed down from cat legends...

Carpet feels awesome on cat's feet.. yep... fact

Mine prefers the bath room... l finally figured out that "Trouble" loves the cold of the tub... don't believe me ? put your hand on the tub.

I read somewhere that cat's feet are one of the most sensitive parts of their body... so carpet feels good. does yours kneed the carpet? All good ...

Plus added benefit to cat: they plan on you stepping the yuck .
Bonus points watching you clean it up...
cat says " when your done you can feed me again so we can do this over"

Love ya Z,

Snarly

Only one my my cats (I only have two... don't worry yet!) has an issue with throwing up... and he always, always, ALWAYS does it on the carpet only. And as disgusting this is, sometimes I'll hear him do it in the other room, and by the time I make it to the other room, the OTHER cat has cleaned it up...

Anyways.. congrats on day 10!! Keep putting in those 24 hours. You've got it.

Before I figured out the issue and switched foods, one of my cats threw up 2-3 times a week after eating. She loved to do it on my bed. Ewwwwww... Now I feed them expensive grain-free food, and she almost never pukes anymore.

Congrats on double-digits, Zanna!

lmao! My husband and I were JUST talking about this last night but in regards to our dogs. They ALWAYS seemed to pick the worst nights to get sick ( runny BM's) when I was going to be the most hungover! OMGosh, there is nothing worse then having to clean that up when you are already sick sick sick! And they are large ( over 100 pounds) so its not a small wee mess, its large and EVERYWHERE!

Ugh! We had a skunk scare last night. Thought for sure my girl was going to get skunked ( she does at least once every summer) but thought, well at least it wont be like last time when I jumped in the tub with her stinky ass, giving her a bath while trying to keep my balance ( drunk AGAIN). She hates baths so I was trying to keep her in the tub, get the tomatoe juice concoction stuff all over her ( and me), keep her from shaking it all over the bathroom! Oh what a sight to see! My husband was just laughing at me and her and the whole situation!

Oh well, the joys of pet ownership and what we go through for our beloveds! Im just glad today Im sober and just a tad bit more capable to coping with the inevitable messes!

Thanks for the laugh!
