Hi all,
Sometimes kids say stuff that floors me, I picked up my son from his scout meeting last night, I was on way home from my AA meeting. We got home and he says, "that's the 1st time I've been in this truck, that you didn't stop at a liquor store, and you dont smell like beer, keep up the good work Pop."
Absolutely floored me, and as I though about it he was right, liquor store was always a stop, didn't matter where I was going to or from, and pretty much anytime after 6pm on any work day, I smelled like beer, weekends after 11am I smelled like beer. I don't miss that stink, a few more days and I'll be sober for 30 days.

That s amazing Mick! I am on day 47 now and I can also notice a clear difference in how my relationship with my boys has changed. They are only 2 and 4, but I can definitely tell they know I m a better dad now.
A lot more of that to look forward to for both of us!

Mick I'm so happy for you. You're making such great progress & it's really starting to pay off.
I always thought I was clever & had everyone fooled. In the end, alcohol was in my system 24/7 - so all the mouthwash, eyedrops & perfume didn't do a thing to hide the truth. It's wonderful to be free.

Thanks I'm fighting hard for 30 days, kind of silly, but I want that chit, and I promised myself at 30 days, I would reward myself with a full on barber shop shave, hot towels, mint balm, the whole works. If you have ever had an old school barber shave it is such a manly treat.
