Sober Football

last night watching football was so much fun being sober. amazing! I was invited by two different groups friends to go to the bar to watch the game. and of course my bf wanted to also. Instead, i did a workout, took nice walk with my dog . came home, my bf had a beer in hand, and suggested wine. i said ok, to the wine. poured a glass although didnt finish it. my bf drank his beer and the rest of the wine. it. I'm mad at my self that I actually had some of the wine. its hard living with someone who is a drinker. but glad i stopped myself, poured some ice cold water with lemon. and watch all the game and the plays and see the Broncos win yay!!

Sorry to hear you drank.

I don't know if it will help but there is a NFL thread in the Cafe. http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/...2016-17-a.html

Is your Boyfriend aware that you have chosen to not drink? Staying home and doing the workout was a great idea, but if he's still offering you drinks and knows you are trying to stay sober you may need to take a serious look at the dynamics of your relationship.

It's not sober football if you're drinking wine while you watch!

That's not a helpful thing to say. Sounded to me like she was pleased.
