100 Days Sober Today.
100 Days Sober Today.
Hi Everyone.
I know this is the newcomers section but I wanted to post this to give people who are just starting out a bit of hope.
Today marks my 100th sober day and whilst I know its only the beginning of the journey for me its an important milestone and something I couldn't have believed possible.
I've been a member on here and been trying to stop drinking for 10 years and finally something clicked for me and I was able to stop drinking.
I'm not going to say its been easy because it hasn't but just getting through those first days are the hardest. Do whatever you have to do to just get through those first days, once you are past a week you'll start to wake up in a morning feeling amazing and wondering why you ever put yourself through that hell.
I had to stop posting on here, I don't know why. I just had to shut myself off and focus on myself and my own journey.
I know there are people with 10 years under their belts who will smile and say i've only just begun and I appreciate and understand that. But I wanted to say if you have just stopped today or these are your first few days you can do it.
If I can do it you can do it. Because I LOVED booze!!!!
I am so happy and grateful that i've finally crossed a line and I hope that you will too.
What helped me...
Vitamins
AVRT
Research, endless research and reading. The more I understood the disease the stronger I became.
Good luck, wherever you are on your journey.
Much Love

Excellent! Good job- I think I was more proud of 100 days than 90, in a way - triple digits It keeps getting better - I can't wait for 200 this week!!
I love hearing people's plans, and how they are succeeding. My path is primarily AA but I do the studying etc that you mention, too, in spiritual/religious and secular ways. The more info and ammunition I have to maintain my tool box to stay sober, the better!
Keep going.
