Disappointed

I am so disappointed in myself. I have totally screwed up my life. It is cyclical. I need to break that cycle. I am praying a lot. Could use some support.
Thanks

Bo, do you have access to AA meetings or a therapist? I don't have any advice, but wanted to acknowledge your post and let you know I care.

Bo, if booze is the issue first thing to break the cycle is get medical advise for detox. Be honest with the doctors. After that take advantage of follow up care they offer for support to help stay off of it. Look into AA, exercise volunteer work, sober recovery or whatever it takes help going back into the cycle. You can do this! Hang in there my friend!

Welcome back Bo

Whatever else you decide to do for your recovery, why not immerse yourself in SR again?

Join the Class of August thread maybe? (the thread's in this forum as well)

D

Bo, it's so hard to get out of the vicious cycle. I know for me, it took a leap of faith to believe that things would work out. Have faith that you can do this!

Hey Bo. Come on in the Class of August Thread. Lots of friends and helpful people. I was in that cycle last week and this site and AA has me feeling back to normal. We have a lot of wreckage to clean up but it will only happen if we're sober. Stick around, you're in the right place

+1

I didn't believe I could be happy without alcohol. It was wrecking everything, but the thought of living without it forever was very scary. But people on this forum - people who have been there - told me if I worked it through I would see things differently.

They were SO right.

Many of us know "the cycle" all too well. The trick is to break that cycle and find a new normal. You can do it.
