Bo, if booze is the issue first thing to break the cycle is get medical advise for detox. Be honest with the doctors. After that take advantage of follow up care they offer for support to help stay off of it. Look into AA, exercise volunteer work, sober recovery or whatever it takes help going back into the cycle. You can do this! Hang in there my friend!

Hey Bo. Come on in the Class of August Thread. Lots of friends and helpful people. I was in that cycle last week and this site and AA has me feeling back to normal. We have a lot of wreckage to clean up but it will only happen if we're sober. Stick around, you're in the right place
I didn't believe I could be happy without alcohol. It was wrecking everything, but the thought of living without it forever was very scary. But people on this forum - people who have been there - told me if I worked it through I would see things differently.
They were SO right.
