Just got off a librium taper
The problem is that it was pretty heavy and I didn't do more than half of it because I was already zonked out.
I'm afraid of doing that thing where I keep the pills in reserve.
I can't really think about a life without drinking, but I am looking forward to things I would actually be able to do again (drive to visit family, do gymnastics moves without being too shaky, drive anywhere, know it would be safe to have a conversation with a conversation at a coworker after 2:30 in the room without bracing myself on a piece of furniture, you know.
I (somehow) recently got a job where I'm responsible for a lot of people and I'm a little bit unsure about how to handle myself.

I have no experience with librium, but welcome to SR!
What do you mean when you say you can't think about a life without drinking? You can't imagine it? I felt that way before I quit, too, but lo and behold, life goes on whether you drink or not. And if you're not drinking, you can participate in it fully.
You'll never regret quitting, but you will surely regret it if you don't. Stick around - there's a lot of help available here.
