Nervous and can't really enjoy the 4th of July
I start class tomorrow, so I will be sitting at a desk at 8AM tomorrow morning near the Mall of America. They are from 8-5pm all week. It will be well worth it, but while Americans are enjoying today, I will be racking my brain trying to digest what to expect. Have a great day everyone. For those of you where fireworks are legal, stay safe!

I'm getting my real estate license. So I am attending Kaplan real estate education. I am becoming frustrated with the slow corporate hiring process and simply the fact that despite my efforts, I get interviews and phone calls but no one has hired me yet. I've been told it takes time, and I agree with it. But I am impatient and want to start working asap.
I have an opportunity to work at a good real estate brokerage house, so I'm going for it. If a month or two down the road a company calls, I will certainly go and interview. But in the meantime, I can work.

Sounds like a great plan, so you're no longer sitting still waiting on phone calls back. That sounds exhausting and nerve racking in itself to me. I'm hoping something takes your mind off the week the ahead and you're able to relax at least a little bit today. Hoping also everyone is having a safe, sober holiday today. Let's keep pushing.... Even if it's difficult to relax on the days it seems we should be able to the most.

You're going to do great Jeff....try not to trip out about the future. Be excited!
And if it makes ya feel better....I'll be doing yard work and cleaning the house. Wahoo. Maybe some coloring and Netflix tonight. Awesome!

I was very hesitant because there are a million realtors out there, but then when I thought about it, my other business had a million people in it too (lawn and landscaping).
What made me take the leap was having a few meetings with the guy who owns the brokerage. He's very good. He's only taking on 6 people and I will be the 3rd.

Good stuff Jeff! Real Estate is great because you can make it a full time thing or just work it into you schedule as a side job. So if you do end up finding another position that appeals to you you could still make use of your license.
