newbie here

I'm reaching out and saying hello. I stopped drinking April 21st and this world of being clear and present is strange and wonderful. But scarey.
Not sure what else to say.

I agree too - I was scared in the early days. All that changed, though. You'll go through many phases as you heal & grow. We're so glad you joined us, breezyze.

Welcome Breez! Can your articulate what is scaring you or is it just a generalized fear?

I found sobriety to be scary and wonderful... at first. After I'd been sober for a while it wasn't as scary. But it was just as wonderful.

Hello and welcome . I know from past experience about those uneasy scared feelings , you cant quite work out why you feel this way right ? It's part of the healing process as your nervous system slowly recovers . Try to go with the feeling without adding more fear ,distract yourself if possible .
It does fade in time . This is how I deal with it and I have longer good spells each day .

Hi newbie

We have all been there, but the longer you stay sober the better will feel. You are among friends and kindred spirts.
