2 month check in
So I checked the last day I drank! 60 days ago today. I feel so good. Thank you to everyone who helped pick me up off the ground all these months !
Couple things I realize now that I'm not tied to the bottle
1: I used to be so scared that giving up booze meant giving up feeling good. NOTHING could be farther from the truth. When you give up the bottle, there will be this day where you wake up and you legit feel GREAT! And I don't mean "I got a good sleep" great. I'm talking pure uninterrupted pride and joy that you are PAST your AV!! It's incredible. I no longer have that 24/7 dialogue/argument with myself about drinking/not drinking tonight. It's feels great...just pure 100% happiness
2: Now that energy levels and mood have come back in full force, I have gotten so much done in my life. So many little things I put off for years, I am now checking them off my list one by one. Every time I do, I feel so proud and happy in myself. I feel useful to the world and more importantly, myself
3: My relationships and goals have matured immensely. I want real accomplishments in my life and now that liquor is gone, I can actually work towards these goals because I'm going to wake up every day full of energy, drive, pride, joy, confidence, and self worth/dignity!
Don't ever give up. If a goof like me can get out of an alcoholic rutt, SO CAN YOU!!
Just always try again
