Red face when i think of drugs now

i see a big black void that wants to suck me in
hmm i think that's good to see that now. i thought i could control it

Good "visual" green tea...Just keep telling yourself you don't want to go back there. And remember that where you are going clean and sober is NOT a black void, but so much better. You can do this!

I couldn't agree more.. I actually see something similar.. And it sucks away happiness and time with family and friends.. It hurts family more than it hurts me. That's my history with drugs..those I'd DIE protecting were hurt the worst by my actions or inactions.

I can NOT name one person that didn't move into addiction purposely because they wanted to. Everyone I've met fell into this void..sucked into it..and thought they could control it.

Great analogy..and Teatreeoil is right, sobriety is an expanding..ever expanding universe in comparison to the void.. Always new opportunities and better experiences to be had.
