Just wanna lay in bed
I'm not feeling gung ho. Don't wanna go to a mtg. Workout. Nothing. I know I need to do some things but tasks seem pointless to the meaning of my existence. Busy work. I did notice yesterday that not drinking meant I could spend an entire day being present for kids, friends, my guitar... I had fun. Now I'm physically and emotionally wiped.

At almost 10 months i still feel jacked up at times.
I am learning how to live w out booze.
Feels great knowing i am doing the right thing for me and my loved ones.
At 20 days i was a zombie on the inside.
On the outside, people thought i was being a bit of a crybaby, but had no idea inside i was a nervous wreck.
Hope that helps you a bit.

Sobriety can be tough in the beginning, I felt drained with no energy for a long time, we don't need to be seizing the day straight out of the blocks, it's ok to have a few sofa days and watch a box load of dvds.
In time though my energy did come back, the body just needed time to heal.
Hang in there!!

Sometimes you have good days, sometimes not.
The difference is you're not numbing yourself out with booze
but feeling the feelings.
They will pass and you will feel better.
Isn't it great that you spent real quality sober time with your kids yesterday?
That's something to feel very good about Pressme
I wasn't used to the down times without my bottled anesthesia either at first,
but now they don't worry me much.
I take a shower, watch a movie, go to bed early.
I know that I'll feel better soon, as will you.

I was really tired my first six months and more often than not all I wanted to do is lay in bed and rest and I took naps whenever possible.
I don't know how long you have been sober but sleeping is the natural way your body heals itself.
Give yourself a break and permission to be "lazy" and play "hookie" from meetings and exercise once in a while.
Also, mild depression is not unheard in early sobriety.
If this persist and you feel discouraged and unmotivated for a few months it might be a good idea to talk to your doctor
