Welcoming day 14 in the predawn hours
Con: It is 1:30 AM and I'm still awake, monitoring a sick child who is having breathing issues.
Pro: I'm not fast asleep and leaving my husband to deal with this as would have been the case were I still drinking. He has to be up extra early for work so I've left him to slumber. I suspect I'll be spending the day home with said child.
So I reflect on day 13 and the start of day 14... And the progress that has been made. It occurred to me that after day, much like hitting double digits was a wonderful milestone, after today I can count in weeks... Plural... Awesome! :-)
I don't know what today shall bring... I see doctor's and breathing treatments and rest and naps in our future. And hopefully a smattering of work as I'm forever behind lately on that front... And I know that today I will not drink.
:-)
