Hello and cheers!

Hi! I just registered!

My name is Edgard and I am an enthusiast of dealing in a more conscious manner with technology (mobile, media, internet and social media). I believe most of of are abusing or being abused by tech and, eventually, getting addicted to them!

I'm here to shed some insights on tech addiction and help!

Hi Edgard! Tech addiction is horrid and will most likely destroy society as we know it. My hubby and son are computer addicts, son especially. Graduated in December from a fine college with a great degree and I feel his future is toast because of his lack of ambition. From morning til night, unless I'm forcing him to do something else, that's all he does.
My niece wrote a song called Fine Line. One of the lines is," It's a fine line, the money or computer or the needle or the wine."
Couldn't be more true.

I've lived in the Tech world for almost 20 years now.... it was my focus in college and has been my career since. I give of my time and energy to help children learn about technology. Tech is an undeniable part of the human experience now, and isn't going away.

Yet it is TAKING away.

It is robbing us of some things. It is changing the very nature of the human experience - and not in all positive ways.

I believe that Tech is creating as many problems as it's solving, on a fundamental level for humans.

The pendulum has swung too far, and I think it's hurting us.
