Newbie here with first post.
Hello everyone. Will start with a brief history of my alchohol use. Started drinking beer at 18. I was not a heavy beer drinker until early 40's. It progressed to 6-8 beers a day and 12-14 a day on weekends. The last several months on the weekends i would have 4-5 beers in the morning (hair of the dog). Everything i did non work related involved alchohol. It had to be a part or I wasn't interested. Anyways...stopped one week ago and fortunate not to have any physical withdrawal symptoms. I feel great, wake up energized, stay up later etc....
I have been a guest on the forum reading post everyday since i stopped and has provided support so i decided to join. I use the i will not drink today quote often and have picked up many "golden nuggets". I look forward to my sobriety and being a part of this forum for many years to come.
