Slipped after 79 days clean!!!
I was clean from cocaine for 79 days and I slipped today and threw all of my time out of the window. I am so embarrased and disappointed in myself. I was so happy about coming up on 90 days and looking forward to getting my chip. I feel like I finallly hit my bottom today. I'm ready to accept all suggestions I get. I really need support right now and I'd like to hear the ES&H of others. I hate the way I feel right now and I want to make the road of recovery work for me.

hello hope,
im dot. sometimes, i find its best to forget about the past and just focus on the moment. but, remembering the past helps prevent it from happening again in the future. i hope you're able to dust off and start again. dont focus on how many days you rack up. it really doesnt matter. of course it does, because (for me) i cant go a few weeks then use then be clean a few weeks then use. i just keep going and going and things fall apart.
sorry for rambling. hang in there and dont give up! post about your feelings! we are here to support ya.

Dust yourself off and climb back in the saddle. Take a look at what you could do differently to avoid the circumstances of the slip in the future. Some times we have to learn by trial and error. I am glad nothing bad happened to you.
79 days of good clean fun !!! Great stuff.
You haven't failed - just had a really good learning experience. In a couple of days you will be feeling great again with a stronger determination. Concentrate on today, and then the days will rack up themselves.
Really glad you are back on track so quickly - well done.
much love
JC

One day clean for an addict is a miracle in my book . I know for me I kept going back to what I knew until I finally accepted it didnt work for me anymore . Keep the faith , all will be well . Bless , Trish

Hey there I relapsed after two years sobriety and clean time ..
embarrassed too and lost some hope but listened to others who told me to
get right back at it .. so I did .. looked back only to see how far I had come ..
just celebrated a year clean and sober .. and it feels terrific. Like my Dad always
says 'it's ok to fall down and bleed a little, provided you get back up again'
.. put your pride in your back pocket and go pick up a desire chip! You'll set a wonderful power of example for others.. God Bless and please keep coming back
we need you here.

Hopealwayzs,
Like the others said, pick yourself up, and brush yourself off. We all make mistakes. Just learn from it. You say you have finally hit your bottom. Maybe that's why you needed to do this. Things will get better again, just don't pick up. And go to the meeting, like Rowan said, and get that desire chip. It will help you and others. Don't be hard on yourself.
