A Must Read
Just finished reading an article in Newsweek that I'd like to share. It amplifies something Vale posted a while back regarding the confluence of prescription opioids and heroin.

One observation I'd like to make: in 2010, Purdue Pharma had $3.1 billion in sales off OxyContin. To give you an idea how ginormous that figure is, the sales of OxyContin alone is approximately equal to 60% of my company's total annual sales (we're a major DoD contractor). Think about that: $3,100,000,000 in sales off one product. This makes my skin crawl...

Zoso,
Interesting read. I have no idea how many "legal" pills they have to sell to get to $3.1 billion sales -- lots and lots!
Opening photograph of the pill bottle........63 tablets, 20 mg each = 63 x $20 locally.........$1260. street value........$1. per mg
No wonder they turn to heroin, that is exactly what my daughter did.
One day at a time,
Jim
