Ok...here we go. Please Lord and all my friends on SR give me strength to be in the mountains for 5 days with 20+ family members who will be drinking. Also dealing with my mother in law will be a treat....wish me luck! Don't want to throw away 62 days!

Hit the mountain and go snowboarding during the day. It's the nights I am worried about. I can always go to the other house we have, but then "I am making a scene."

To be thought of as "making a scene" isn't the worst thing I can think of - drinking would be infinitely worse.

If you can get cell reception there, then wandering off to check in here is an option.

I've been accused of making a scene or being dramatic when not wanting to be around drinking. I'll gladly take it- as it isn't anything compared to what scenes may ensue should I pick up a drink again!

On here now. Some of the young ones are high already by the bonfire since weed is legal in CO. Should be good times. Geez! You should see how many club sodas i have had already though...ha!

Ha! Thanks. No drinks tonight. I may get up to go to the bathroom 100 times tonight since I drank so much club soda, but that about it. Oh, and I will feel great bombing down the mountain tomorrow, not hungover! Thanks secretchord and thanks everyone!

Keep your eyes on the price, C23! The momentary rush of the buzz isn't worth throwing away all your hard won sober time. But I know you can stay strong and resist the temptation!

Mountains.... Nice, most definitely ... Being able to snowboard in CO ... And being able to breathe in that clear mountain air. ... Being able to do all of the above sober... Well ... Need I say more ? Enjoy! You will enjoy it so much more sober... You've got this ! Stay sober-stay sane!
