All or nothing

SO, I think It's better to feel better sober ALL the time then to be drunk some of the time and feel good. While drinking you get tricked into feeling GREAT, then the next morning sets in and your like, "oh crap, I feel terrible" hence the vicious cycle of chasing the high. I'm not gonna lie, i've had some fun drinking, but I've also done some stupid A*ss things too and quite frankly, I'm really lucky to be alive and equally not to be in jail at some point, looking back I cringe, ah the joys of regret. SO, it's all or nothing, feel good sober or drink up and have a few hours of feeling good followed by feeling like death. I think I'll take feeling good sober....

That's all...for now, thanks for listening.

The SMART Recovery program has people do a Cost/Benefit analysis of drinking, and when you line up the "costs" of drinking versus the "benefits", the list is always wayyy longer on the cost side. That's how I saw for myself what you posted about. Yup, not worth it.

Rob Halford is a rock star, sober since 1986 .

On a world tour again Blazing a trail for others to follow .

In my opinion sobriety brings us closer to being our true selves , gives us more focus, more time, a healthier longer life , in which to try and live gloriously .

Stay strong , m

lil ,
on this sober journey i've met wallflowers, lions and in-betweens .

Some have gone back out and some have stuck with it .

feeling weak isn't necessarily a bad thing and is maybe right where you need to be on your journey .

Take care , m

I'm 33 I am so thankful I accept what my problem is I'd steer away from romanticising about any of the good old days because frankly they wasn't its them days which led to today

Good job on staying sober
