Good for you on 1 year, that's amazing!

Welcome. As for suggestions for creating a "new sober life"....a new life is yours for the taking. It all depends on how big or small you want the changes to be. My situation was pretty toxic, so I started over and changed many habits. I didn't just stop drinking, I started a completely new way of life.

Has there ever been anything you've really wanted to do? Animal rescue? Travel? Space travel? LOL. But seriously, if you have any interests or ideas, feel free to brainstorm right here. If now's not a good time, stick around and read and post. We are happy to have you on board!

I agree with others, over one year is fabulous! That is awesome.

On building a new sober life? Hey-first of all it's so much better and more sane to build any kind of life sober and in your "right mind". There are so many variables for each person as we are all different. I don't even know what your profession is, but whatever it is/was it will only IMPROVE by being sober. You will feel better while awake. You sleep better maybe fall asleep easier, stay asleep better and wake up feeling refreshed instead of feeling like you've been up all night with a fussy baby.

What to build a life and how is vast....so much potential. [How much time do you have?] I'm joking, but I'm also serious about that question. Something to think about. For some people HALF the battle is getting INSPIRED and getting over inertia it that happens to be an issure.
