Well, I guess I won something….. My preferred supermarket runs various promotions throughout the year. I REALLY like it when they mail out the vouchers for €10 off a shop of €50 or more or vouchers for 1,000 "punti fidaty" (points you can use to "buy" good in the catalogue they put out twice a year). This year though they are giving away 1,000 Smart cars! You get a code for each €60 spent and can check once a week to see if you won. In the meantime they are giving away magnums of spumante (sweet prosecco) or €50 vouchers. Guess what this alcoholic won? Yep, the spumante. Such is life…. I found out at the register and then gave it away in the parking lot to a very happy couple. Keep your fingers crossed for one of those €50 vouchers or the Smart next week!

I think so, but in reality, they made MY day by accepting. I had a moment where I had to decide while taking the elevator to the garage. I initially thought of re-gifting the bottle (big, in a box, expensive and impressive looking) but I remembered that I generally do not do well with alcohol in the house- even if intended as a gift, so I decided to gift it immediately without passing go!

I won champagne at a gift grab a few months sober. A camp mom brought me a bottle of wine once. Yep, just laugh and give it away. It does feel good to make a normie happy!

I bet they'll have a glass and put the rest in the fridge. Strange. ��
