Apprehensive
You never have to feel this way again Scaredstiff. And if you are as scared as your name suggests, know this: As you get and stay sober, the fear and anxiety that has prompted you to drink will begin to fade. It may take some time, but it is most certainly worth the wait.
Good luck. I am glad you are here with us.

It took a while after I realized I was addicted to alcohol for me to get help. I was afraid. I finally made an appointment with a doctor who made arrangements for medical detox and inpatient treatment.
Detoxing from the amount of alcohol that you say you consume is very dangerous. Please, call a doctor or treatment center before stopping cold turkey. Getting professional help is scary but so, so worth it! Call someone and ask for help. If you don't have insurance or $ for the deductible they can refer you to somewhere that can help. (Just my opinion based upon my own experiences and what I have learned in rehab and personal research!)
