What do you enjoy or have enjoyed in the distant past what would you like to do

Say I had a magic wand right what if I could change one thing what would it be

So if your bored what would you wish to do

Are you sure you are bored, or is it just your addiction telling you that drinking would be exciting?

What have you been doing in your life specific to your sobriety as of late? Not drinking is just that - not physically putting alcohol in your body. Being "sober" is a completely different thing.

Many find volunteer work shortens the day and very fulfilling. Have you consider doing some work at a shelter, food kitchen, hospital etc???

I have taken free online classes through Coursera that fill some time and are interesting. Many to choose from!!

I do those courses too, they're awesome, I also agree getting out to help others is a great way to make friends and contribute

Yeah I feel like that sometimes also.
But life is as exciting or boring as you make it - alcohol doesn't change that.

Read "I Smile Back".

The movie that is out starring Sara Silverman.

Its about a woman who decides shes bored and not happy with her life.

I know how you feel. I'm early on in my sobriety, and when I stopped drinking I didn't really know what to do with myself for a few days. Usually I'd do boring things while drinking until I passed out. Now a to do list that I have: Watch a movie, go on a hike (alone or with my dog), take my camera and take some pics, read a good book, call a friend, write a story, go on a bike ride, do some exercise, cook something new. Boring? Hardly. You're going to realize how fun life really is absent that poison. Gee, I can actually watch a movie and remember what the heck it was about instead of having to re-watch it because I passed out half way through? Get off your rear-end and go do something!
