Sad today
I am just feeling very sad today.
I am morning the "loss" of my dad as he battles alzheimers, and i see what this horrible disease does to him and my mom..
I mourn not having a spouse to cry on his shoulder and help me at this time. We all struggle and I need to stop feeling sorry for myself as there is a lot of other people who are a lot worse off then myself.
Hugs my friends, I hope you all have a great friday!!

Sorry for your loss.
If you believe in a Higher Power, pray. It works.
My Grandma got dimensions before she passed. She didn't remember me at all.
SR is filled w caring, helpful people that will offer words of support that you can go back and read again later. It is very nice.
Hang in there.

Hi,
Being sad and grieving the loss of someone special is ok. It is so hard because you can still touch that person, but they gone as you know them.
I am a nurse and have seen such sadness, anger, and grief from loved ones of people with dementia. I think as human beings we want to be in control of every situation that touches our lives. This one we can neither fix or take control.
The thought that gives family the most peace is that their loved ones are happy in whatever place there in. You just need to hold your memories close to your heart. I think in reality, all we really have in life are our memories.
Please take care of yourself. Sending support your way!!!!!

Hey Maia!
You are always a tower of strength for the rest of us. I am sorry this is a down time for you.
I totally get how you miss a spouse at a time like this. Your Dad being ill is bad enough, but right now is a very lonely time for you.
I wish there was a way I could go to Illinois and give you a big hug just now!!!

I lost my dad almost a year ago He was 78 years old. I was in my garage looking for something and came across a box of his stuff. I almost lost it. Losing my father and seeing what it has done to my mother is very gut wrenching.
My friend I am so sorry but think of how you have your dad still right now!!. I would do anything to wrap my hands around his face and kiss him a million times. I cry just writing this post thinking of my daddy.
I mourn not having a spouse to cry on his shoulder and help me at this time.
I called my AH when this happened, I had kicked him out the day before my dad had his heart attack. I called him because I was in so much pain. Then I found out he was talking to other woman. I tell you this only to let you know that I mourned my dad, watching my mother and then hurting even more because I thought my AH would be sensitive to this issue. Work on you and be glad you have this time to do so.

I'm so sorry Maia.
You want a partner there to help you through this terribly difficult time. Someone to lean on. I totally understand. I think we all do.
((((((( hugs ))))))))
