Hi all,
I've been lurking around the forums here pretty much all day.
I called in sick monday and the gp prescribed 3 days off.
Perhaps you can guess why I called in sick...I went on a bender sunday afternoon. I've have a drinking problem since a number of years - been sober a couple of times also for a couple of years too...but then just when you think you can enjoy a drink now and then - things spiralled out of control.
2015 hasn't been a good year so far - most of the weekends were a waste (I don't drink during weekdays - all the more to celebrate fridaynights
)
Anyway now that I've sobered up I would like today to be my new number one day of sobriety.
Still feeling a little dehydrated and nervous but that will pass.

Thanks for the kind words, Anna.
I'm familiar with AA and should the need arise for extra support I'll probably contact the group I was in some 5 years ago.
I wish I could enjoy a beer or a licquor drink like a normal person but alas I can't.

Welcome 7crossed. I'm so glad you joined us.
I wished for years that I could have a drink now & then. But there was never 'one' for me - always the whole bottle. It took me a long time to admit that.
I think it will really help you to be here with us - we all know what you're going through.

So, Day 2 is almost over and I'm feeling ok. Itried posting this message from my iPad but that didn't seel to work very well.
Tomorrow it's back to work again - I told my boss I was suffering from lower-back pains (which has been true in the past, but not now).
Let's see what day 3 will bring
