Been for my scan
Been for my scan
Ok there is some good news and some worrying news. My liver, pancreas and kidneys all fine, however my spleen is bulky and slightly enlarged, now Im not sure what this means for me I do have an unrelated condition which can cause the spleen to become enlarged, im checked by a physical examination each year to check the spleen it wasnt mentioned then.... I really really do not know what this means for my exisiting condition, im trying to get an earlier appointment with my specalist. Soooo I went in for my liver and Ive walked out worried about something else...... trying not to consult Dr Google but naturally Im concerned. Trying so hard not to let my head work overtime. I need to see my consultant.

So this means your liver enzyme levels are back to normal now? I remember your earlier post about this.
Try to take care emotionally until you see you specialist - try to NOT consult dr. Google! He always makes my systems worse because of the anxiety he adds to the mix with his worst case scenario tendencies!
Instead meditate, paint, take a long bath, do a makeover..... I'm sending prayers your way blueberry! You got sober just before I did and your bravery has inspired me. Stay strong ♡

Bb - I'd try not to worry about it until you see the specialist. I'd imagine if it was that large they'd have done something about it rather than send you on.
Good news on your liver, pancreas and kidneys though
I agree with Kamm. Dr Google is the world's worst doctor. Stay away!

Bb, I understand your concern and agree with what others have said.
Worry about odd test results is normal. However, over many years of a variety of physical issues, including twice when I was told I had at most 5 years left (well over 5 years ago - both conditions got better!), I finally came to the realization that I have wasted much time in my life being worried about what was happening. If I had it to do over again, I would try to find some way to reduce the panic because it's such a time and energy consumer. We can't change what is though there is much we can do to help including avoiding alcohol, eating a healthy diet and getting enough exercise.
I know it's not possible to "just relax" but perhaps meditation and doing other positive things to care for yourself might help reduce the worry a bit?
Best of luck and we'll be thinking of you!

Well there def is no scarring on the liver so thats good not sure whether my levels are back to normal got to go for another blood test in September x From speaking to someone else who has the same condition its apparantly normal for the spleen to be enlarged, so not panicing too much i'll discuss it with my consultant x x thanks for your well wishes x
