AA is a Religious Cult
AA is a Religious Cult
There is a certain group which is in no doubt a religious cult. You only have to look at the thread "the god question" to see. Atheists and agnostics have joined the group and been convinced to believe in a higher power (of their own making of course ) They have been converted!!! How is that not a religious cult!!!!!
A lot of people say "whatever works", but what works about it? It's a group where people who don't drink go to socialise, moan about their day and pray while holding hands.....
It actually blows my mind.....it's scary....you can actually slowly see these people being converted......

I'm not in the least bit angry. My post doesn't mention anger......It meantions been 'blown away'........I'm actually in a bit of a state of disbelief what some people write about it and that some people can't see that they are been converted....

You are ranting about AA on a secular forum? Then get angry and flounce while insulting posters here who are fighting the same battle you are and have just offered support? Yet claim you aren't angry? please get a check on yourself.

Why do you care what others do? Is it harming you in some fashion?
What is your solution to stay sober - please share your experience, strength and hope in a message that might help others understand/gain insight.
There are many paths - share yours, please.
I'm just not one who needs my neighbors porch light to go out so mine shines brighter - I simply share what work(ed/s) for me, today.
Peace, friend......
