How I know I belong in AA...

...stopped at the supermarket on my way to the meeting last night. Noticed a couple unloading their groceries. Looked down and saw they had an 18 pack of Natural Light beer. Gross, but it is what it is....

Then a thought came to me -- is that his beer for the week, for the month or just for tonight? For me, that would have been the start of my night's supply... I'm most definitely an alcoholic, normal people just don't drink like that!

Just wanted to share that.

Ken

(((((((Ken)))))))(((((((Boop))))))))
You two crack me up........
Maybe they are a happy mature normal couple and share the beer I've yet to try.
9 for her, 9 for him? A dozen eggs, equally divided after being mixed in the same two omletes? I must need a meeting cuz I am wondering what else was in the grocery bag for once.

I must admit, I am a secret cart lurker. I love to peek in other people's grocery cart to see what they have in there. You can tell alot about a person by what's in their cart. The contents of their cart tells a mini story of sorts. I've never admitted this before. Don't tell anyone I confessed to that. If confronted about this, I will deny it.

An 18 pack would have just got me started. I got to the point where I would not even start if I didn't have atleast a 30 pack in the fridge. I didn't want to be tempted to drive drunk later, donchaknow!

Hey NoMoBeer,
After all that, maybe you're more normal than you think. :wink2: Have a wonderful day and congrats on maintaining your sobriety.

I would always have to pretend I was just having a party. Yeah!! Need to stock up. Thats why I was buying all that beer. I loved buying alcohol around the holidays. I could go store to store and buy without the guilt. Heck I would say its for my holiday gathering. I would think the clerks actually believed me. I'm sure after time they knew better.
