welcome to SR,

This is a great place to find support. Like Trish said, all we have is today. Keep doing what you're doing, then when you wake up tomorrow, make a decision to do it all over again. Stay clean, that is!

(((Kenman)))

Welcome to SR and congratulations on day 1. I've felt great support and comfort here on the boards at SR. I hope you will as well and will use this as a tool in your recovery. Keep us posted on your success. Best of luck...

Hi Kenman,
I'm an old pot-smoker who's had a few Day 1's too. I don't know about you, but that first DAY 1 that I had a year ago was the longest I'd ever gone. The next time I tried I went for a week. Now, I've gone a few weeks.
SR and other support has really made the difference this last time around. The first day, I had to dig down really deep for the strength, but I found it and you can too. My family said I couldn't do it, so I did it just to spite them. I buried my head in a pillow the whole day and then nah-nahed :p them when it was over.
But look at you. Your Day 1 is almost over. Congratulations on Day 1!
I hope I see you here again tomorrow so we can help you into Day 2. Just post anytime you feel like it.
Congrats.

Hi Kenman,
Just wanted to check in and let you know that we haven't forgotten that today is DAY 1 for you. It's a rough day all around and I hope you're hanging in there...maybe finding some distraction or support to avoid smoking pot.
I know it's not easy. I hope it's going okay for the moment.
Sandy

Red face

Hey Kenman, and congratulations on day 1!! I am Laura and I am an alkie/pothead with a precious 6 months clean and sober. I smoked pot everyday for about 15 years. Now I hardly miss it. You have to be patient with yourself. It can take up to 45 days for the THC to get out of your system. I highly recommend finding some kind of support group. I could not have left the stuff alone without my clean and sober friends.

Keep hangin' in there. You can do it!!!!

Hugs--
