Hiya.
Feeling bloody down. Am supposed to be seeing my mum next week my ABF is supposed to come with - but he is "concerned" that he will become ill there even though my mum says it's ok for him to drink. So wont come.
He is going to meetings (non AA) & seeing detox team Thursday but it will til take weeks to set up the care ..
My mum has spoken to him & so have I & he promised my mum that he would come.

Feeling anxious about the week away now.

About backing out. Partially rely on him as have a guide dog.. And scared what mum and family will say if he doesn't.

If I remember correctly, you are nearly blind & he provides a lot of assistance in getting around for trips like this, right?

Do you have a backup plan in case he decides to bail on you? What if it doesn't take weeks for detox & they have a place for him right away & he can't go due to that obligation? (I realize it's not likely, but not impossible either)
