How many yes's did you have Strat? I had 8
The thing is I would have scored 5 or 6 long before I was an alcoholic.
I am suspicious of a 'survey' set by a rehab centre. Too much conflict of interest

I might have experienced almost most all of them on any given day or week for a number of years. Hypothetically, I would have answered yes to all 26 question when I was a teenager too +15 years ago.
The only one I had to think about again was 18, but I had already been hospitalised with glandular fever for several weeks at that point so I am sure it was discussed. No judgey judgey please. I'm not evil.

Strat - I probably didn't explain it very well -
What I meant about suspicion and conflict of interest was that I have some non alcoholic friends that would score more than 2 which was the 'quiz's' threshold for alcoholism.
They (the rehab centre that sponsored the 'quiz') have a vested interest in the outcome, so while they might provide excellent rehab care I don't think they should be making generalisations as to who is and who isn't an alcoholic

Gee saoutchick, I don't know if the NCADD has a vested interest in labeling people as alcoholics, I guess that's for you to decide.
That's where this questionnaire/'quiz'/assessment originates, & come to think of it alcohol made me think like that too by times.
27? Maybe I am alcoholic. I posted it here in Newcomers so that it may even help others to determine if they have a problem also.
Because that has been an arduous process for me. I was going to post in the Alcoholism forum, but here seemed like the better fit.
Obviously the purpose of me posting at all is to initiate a discussion and thanks again for your initial question, it was helpful to me.
