Inside / Outside
Inside / Outside
I was thinking this morning about once being told "The bad news is, you're the problem. The good news is, you're the problem." A statement that eludes to the fact that when I am disturbed, I don't need anyone or anything to change in order to become undisturbed. It is state of being which can transform wholly inside myself.
I was also thinking that in order to live such that I don't constantly become disturbed, I need to try and do for others. To leave the confines of my mind and body. And take the actions of love and compassion outside myself.
Knowing when to focus inside, and when to focus outside, that's the trick.
