The article drew my attention because watching porn and playing video games does not draw as much attention as drinking and drugs, though these activities are growing concerns. They're much more than hobbies or distractions for too many people.
Many people involved in porn and video games are attracted by the thinking that says "At least I'm not drinking or doing drugs," while families, friends and loved ones are also seduced by this sentiment.
It reminds me of a woman I worked with who had a verbally and abusive husband who said, "At least he doesn't hit me."
